The Russian Defense Ministry announced today that the country's armed forces have taken control of two more villages in eastern Ukraine, TASS and Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
This concerns the village of Rog, on the southeastern outskirts of the city of Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, and Orestopol, in the neighboring Dnipropetrovsk region, a few kilometers west of the administrative border with Donetsk region.
Reuters makes the reservation that this message cannot be independently verified. There is no reaction from the Ukrainian side at the moment.
The Russian Defense Ministry said that a total of eight villages in Ukraine were captured in the past week. It also reported massive strikes overnight on Ukraine's military-industrial complex and energy facilities.
