The administration of US President Donald Trump has kept European countries in the dark about its proposals to resolve the conflict in Ukraine, the British newspaper The Daily Telegraph reported, citing its sources.
The newspaper added that White House officials directly told Volodymyr Zelensky that he should agree to the proposals, given his weakened position due to the corruption scandal in Ukraine.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Wednesday that Russia had not received any information from the US through official channels about any “agreements“ on Ukraine, reported by the media.
Previously, Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian president, said that Moscow and Washington are not working on any innovations to the Ukrainian settlement, other than the agreements reached by Putin and Trump in Alaska.
