A brief power outage affected parts of Paris on Thursday morning, French network operator RTE said, linking the incident to a technical problem at the Issy-les-Moulino electrical substation, reports „Reuters“, quoted by News.bg.

The exact origin of the incident has not yet been established and an investigation is ongoing, an RTE spokesman said.

The outage halted several metro lines and suburban trains and left about 170,000 households without electricity from 05:38 GMT (07:38 Bulgarian time).

Power was quickly restored and by 06:50 GMT (08:50 Bulgarian time) only about 2,600 households were left without power, RTE reported.

French electricity supplier Enedis said it expected power to be fully restored by 08:00 GMT (10:00 Bulgarian time).
