Zelensky after meeting with the head of the US ground forces: We want peace, independence and respect for our dignity VI

I will not make loud statements, but will work with the Americans and their partners in Europe, the Ukrainian president said

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced a serious conversation with US representatives about the plan to end the conflict.

After the meeting, he wrote on his Telegram channel that Ukraine will not make any loud statements, but will instead focus on effective work with the US and its partners in Europe to end the conflict.

He stressed that Ukraine needs peace “with conditions that respect our independence, our sovereignty and dignity“. The president noted that he had outlined important points for Ukraine to the United States.

“We will not make any grandiose statements and are committed to clear, honest work – Ukraine, the United States, and our friends and partners in Europe and the world“, Zelensky wrote.

He added that he was actively negotiating with European leaders, citing a recent conversation with Finnish President Alexander Stubb, as well as ongoing contacts with French President Emmanuel Macron.

“I plan to talk to President Donald Trump in the coming days“, the Ukrainian leader added.

According to Axios, Zelensky and the head of the US Ground Forces, Daniel Driscoll, reached an agreement on November 20 in Kiev to sign a new plan for a peaceful resolution of the conflict in Ukraine as soon as possible. Zelensky has expressed his readiness to cooperate with the Trump administration in developing this document.

Ukrainian MP Oleksiy Goncharenko later published the peace plan proposed by the US side. It includes 28 points, including Ukraine's refusal to join NATO, holding elections in the country 100 days after signing the agreement, and de facto ensuring Russian control over Crimea, Lugansk, and Donetsk.

Earlier, Axios reported that the US is developing a new 28-point plan for a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian conflict. According to NBC, this plan has been approved by President Trump. The White House confirmed that the US is negotiating with both Russia and Ukraine. The terms for resolving the conflict must be acceptable to both sides.

Trump expects Zelensky to immediately sign the new peace plan. The Financial Times, citing Ukrainian officials, reported that the US expects this to happen before Thanksgiving next Thursday, November 27.
