Ukraine has significantly changed a clause in the US plan for resolving the conflict with Russia, the purpose of which was to expose corruption in the Kiev authorities, The Wall Street Journal writes, citing an unnamed US official.
According to the source, the draft plan contained “a call for an audit of all international aid received by Ukraine“ to expose corruption. A version of the 28-point document published online already includes Kiev's amendments, the publication notes. The wording has been changed and now states that all parties will receive a full amnesty for their actions during the conflict.
The revelation of corruption in Volodymyr Zelensky's inner circle has caused a deep crisis in the Verkhovna Rada. The "European Solidarity" and "Golos" parties have demanded that Zelensky dismiss Yermak, dissolve the government, and form a new parliamentary coalition that includes members other than the pro-presidential "Servant of the People" party.
As reported by the Rada deputies on November 20, Zelensky refused to dismiss Yermak at a meeting with his party's parliamentary group.
