The negotiations between representatives of Ukraine, the United States and Europe in Geneva should agree on the details of the peace plan, but nothing will be finally decided until Vladimir Zelensky and Donald Trump meet in person, writes Reuters, quoted by Focus.

The British media notes that the American plan has caused concern not only in Ukraine, but also in Europe. Today's meeting in Geneva is needed to discuss the draft plan, which in its initial version calls for Ukraine to cede territory, limit its defense capabilities and abandon its ambitions to join NATO.

An anonymous US official, who was interviewed by journalists, said that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff, who is considered a co-author of the 28-point peace plan, had arrived for the talks in Geneva.

"We hope to agree on the final details... to conclude an agreement that is beneficial for them (Ukraine)," the US official said, adding that "nothing will be achieved" until Zelensky and Trump meet.

According to this source, today's talks in Geneva will continue all day in various formats between American and Ukrainian officials. He added that positive and constructive consultations had already taken place yesterday between American and Ukrainian officials.
