An earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale was registered this morning at 10:51 a.m. in the western part of Thessaly, state television ERT reported, BTA reports.
The epicenter of the quake is located in the area of the Plastira dam, Karditsa prefecture. According to data from the Greek Institute of Geodynamics, the depth of the focus is about 10 km.
The earthquake was felt in a large part of the region, but according to the mayor of the Plastira municipality, Panagiotis Nanos, no damage was caused.
