At this stage, peace in Ukraine is not a real option and there are several reasons. This was stated by diplomat and former foreign minister Nadezhda Neynsky to bTV, quoted by news.bg.

First - during the period in which peace negotiations are underway, Vladimir Putin stated that if the Ukrainian army does not withdraw from the territories, they will be conquered by Russia. Second - Russia's goal is to destroy Ukraine.

According to Neynsky, Russia's goal is to destroy all Ukrainian symbols. "Imagine how Putin will agree to coexist with a Ukraine that is extremely hostile to Russia. I personally don't see how this policy that Putin is pursuing and this obsession of his will lead to the peace that Trump is talking about," she commented.

According to her, Putin wants to end his political career like Stalin and Ivan the Terrible, and not go down in history as a politician who lost a war.

Neinsky added that the Russian propaganda machine would also hardly be able to recreate the war as a victory if Putin agreed to a peace plan. "There is a way out of the war, and it is through the pressure that is being exerted on Russia," she added.
