The Wall Street Journal: Russia Attacks Ukrainian Supply Lines Far From the Front Line

The newspaper calls this combat tactic “the most significant change in the war for 2025.”

The Russian army continues to attack Ukrainian supply lines located far from the front line, The Wall Street Journal reports, citing Ukrainian military personnel and military analysts.

The newspaper calls this combat tactic “the most significant change in the war” for 2025.

The Ukrainian armed forces are most concerned that long-range Russian drones could attack their supply lines in Pokrovsk from a distance of up to 40 miles, the newspaper writes.

An officer with the 68th Brigade told the Wall Street Journal that Ukrainian troops are being forced to walk the last 10 miles to the front line because the roads have become too dangerous for vehicles.

Pokrovsk is a key logistics center for the Ukrainian group in the DPR. The city is located 66 kilometers northwest of Donetsk, near the administrative border of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast of Ukraine.
