France is preparing for a national strike tomorrow at the call of the trade unions United Trade Union Federation, General Confederation of Labor and “Solidarity“, reports “Figaro“, BTA reports.

The protest actions are directed against the draft budget for next year, which is currently being considered in parliament and must be discussed by the middle of the month.

According to the trade union organizations, the measures set do not protect the interests of employees in the public sector and public enterprises.

The general mobilization in Paris public transport begins tonight at 6:00 p.m. and will continue until 7:00 a.m. on December 3. Severe restrictions are expected on some metro lines, as well as on bus and tram routes. Delays and cancellations are also possible on the national railway system tomorrow. Two smaller unions at the airline “Air France“ will also join the strike, protesting against planned staff cuts.

Teachers in various parts of the country will also express dissatisfaction over the intentions to eliminate over 4,000 jobs in the education sector.

The protests are expected to temporarily halt work in a number of administrative services, including the issuance of official documents. The strike actions will also affect the health sector, and previously scheduled medical examinations may be canceled.

In parallel with the strike tomorrow, demonstrations and rallies will also be held in many major French cities.
