The United States has become the "biggest threat" to international peace and security due to its recent behavior towards other countries, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said.

He criticized the Trump administration's hostile actions against countries like Venezuela and its support for Israel's operations in West Asia.

"In all parts of the world, we are witnessing actions based on threats and open force by the United States. In the Western Hemisphere, threats against Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua, and even Brazil and Mexico are frequently repeated by American officials," Bagaei pointed out.

He also criticized the US declaration that Venezuelan airspace should be considered closed, describing it as an "unprecedented action" that violates international standards and regulations, including those governing aviation safety and security.

Bagaei also cited Trump's threats against African countries, such as his request to block South Africa's participation in next year's G20 summit, as another example of Washington's hostile approach.

In his words, the "full" US support for Israel's actions in West Asia has actually made them complicit in "genocide and violation of the national sovereignty and territorial integrity of regional countries" by Israel.

He also criticized the US for imposing new immigration restrictions on citizens from certain countries, stressing that they reflect a "racist" attitude on the part of the US government.

Last week, US President Donald Trump announced his intention to permanently halt immigration from "third world countries" and threatened to reverse immigration decisions made under his predecessor, Joe Biden.
