US President Donald Trump recently underwent a preventive magnetic resonance imaging test, which showed that he is healthy and his cardiovascular system is in good condition, White House spokeswoman Caroline Levitt said, quoted by Reuters, BTA reported.
Levitt explained that the imaging did not reveal any signs of narrowing of the arteries, impaired blood flow or abnormalities in the heart and blood vessels. An imaging study of his abdominal area was also completely normal. She noted that men of Trump's age often undergo such preventive examinations.
The 79-year-old president recently underwent an MRI scan, and the purpose of the procedure was not publicly announced, raising questions about transparency about the head of state's health. Trump is known for his sensitivity to comments about his age and physical condition, and last week he personally criticized a New York Times reporter for an article discussing the impact of age on his energy, Reuters noted.
