Pentagon Secretary Pete Hegseth described his "ideal dinner" as a dinner with the presidents of Russia, the United States and Ukraine: Vladimir Putin, Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky. He made the statement on journalist Katie Miller's podcast, available on her YouTube channel.
“I think it would be President Trump, Vladimir Putin and Zelensky. It would be a dinner for peace“, the Pentagon chief said, answering the question of which three people he would invite to dinner.
Hegseth added that the dinner would include a salad with "Russian dressing“.
On November 25, Trump expressed his willingness to meet with Putin and Zelensky to finalize a peace agreement. The American leader noted that a meeting with the Russian president could take place when the agreement is in its final stages of development.
On the same day, White House press secretary Caroline Levitt announced that trilateral talks involving Russia, the United States and Ukraine were needed to finalize the remaining details of the peace plan.
