The Kremlin said today that Russian President Vladimir Putin has accepted some of the US proposals to end the war in Ukraine, and that Russia is ready to hold meetings with US representatives as many times as necessary to reach a peace agreement, Reuters reported, BTA reported.

The Kremlin pointed out that no agreement was reached at yesterday's meeting between US special envoy Steve Witkoff and US President Donald Trump's son-in-law - Jared Kushner with the Russian president.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov specified, however, that it would be wrong to say that Putin had rejected the US proposals, adding that during the meeting they were discussed directly for the first time.

"We highly appreciate President Trump's political will to continue to seek solutions for the peaceful settlement of the conflict in Ukraine, and we are grateful for these efforts of his administration," Peskov said.

"We are ready to meet as many times as necessary to reach a peaceful agreement," he stressed.
