Russian and Chechen Telegram channels have published photos that they claim show damage from a Ukrainian drone strike on a multi-story office building in the “Grozny City“ complex in the capital of Chechnya. The footage, which the BBC and other media outlets have not been able to independently confirm, shows an entire section of the facade with broken glass on several floors. Chechen opposition sources also claim that the damage is the result of the attack, News.bg reports.

Official authorities in Chechnya have not yet confirmed any damage or incident. Meanwhile, airports in Grozny, Beslan and Magas were temporarily closed due to a potential drone threat.

The Russian Defense Ministry said that overnight air defense forces had "intercepted and destroyed" 41 Ukrainian aircraft-type drones. The most intense strikes, according to the ministry, were over Samara, Saratov, Volgograd, Rostov regions, Krasnodar Territory and annexed Crimea. Local channels in the Samara region reported explosions and speculation that the target was an oil refinery in Syzran, but there was no official confirmation.

In the Krasnodar region, authorities announced that a fire had broken out at the Temryuk seaport after a drone strike overnight.
