India and Russia have agreed on an economic cooperation program to expand and diversify trade by 2030, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said after high-level talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Reuters reported, BTA reported.

Putin said Russia was satisfied with the results of the talks.

„In general, we are definitely satisfied with the results of the talks. We have a planned meeting with the President of India, Mrs. [Draupadi] Murmu. But I can already express confidence that this visit and the agreements reached in practice will contribute to the further deepening of the Russian-Indian strategic partnership for the benefit of our countries and the peoples of India and Russia," Putin said, quoted by TASS.

"We have just concluded "The talks with the Indian colleagues, as well as our conversation last night with Mr. Modi in the format of "tête-à-tête" at his home for dinner. These talks were very useful, they took place in a constructive and friendly atmosphere in the spirit of the particularly privileged partnership between Russia and India," Putin noted, once again thanking Modi for the dinner.

The Russian President pointed out that he has established close working and personal contact with the Indian Prime Minister. "We met in September this year at the SCO summit forum, we regularly communicate by phone, we maintain constant personal control over the development of Russian-Indian cooperation in all its strategic areas, as well as over the progress of the implementation of key bilateral projects," Putin explained.

According to the Russian leader, together with the delegations, today the entire complex of current issues of multilateral cooperation between Moscow and Delhi was considered in depth and in detail, and there was also an exchange of views on pressing global and regional issues.

“The joint statement that we adopted with Modi sets out priority tasks for further strengthening ties in the fields of politics and security, economics, trade, the humanitarian sphere and culture“, Putin also said.

Russia is ready to continue to ensure unhindered fuel supplies to the growing Indian economy, he added.

The Russian head of state also thanked Indian President Murmu, Prime Minister Modi and all Indian officials for the warm and cordial welcome extended to the Russian delegation.
