The passerby who disarmed the terrorist who shot people in Sydney turned out to be a fruit vendor, the 7News television channel reported.
According to the media, the hero is 43-year-old Sydney resident and fruit shop owner Ahmed al-Ahmed.
A video posted online shows the man disarming the terrorist who shot people by running after him and grabbing the weapon.
The man's cousin told the television channel that al-Ahmed was injured in the scuffle and was taken to hospital, where he will undergo surgery.
Earlier today, BTA reported that at least 12 people were killed, and 30 were injured in a shooting on Sydney's Bondi Beach, which took place during an event to mark the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah, Reuters reported, citing Australian authorities, BTA reports.
