US President Donald Trump's approval rating among Americans is 39%, close to its lowest level since he took office on January 20, 2025.
This is according to a joint survey conducted by Reuters and Ipsos, published on December 16.
Trump's performance as president is approved by 39% of respondents. 59% do not approve of him.

According to the data, only 33% of respondents consider the economic policies of the Trump administration to be effective, while 58% are dissatisfied. Trump's immigration policies are approved by 41% of respondents, while 52% disagree.
According to surveys regularly conducted by Reuters and Ipsos, the US leader's approval rating has fallen below 39% only once during his second term. That happened in November 2025. The results of a survey conducted from November 14 to 17 showed Trump's approval rating at 38%. It peaked in January, when 47% of respondents assessed Trump's performance positively.
The latest Ipsos-Reuters survey was conducted from December 12 to 15 among 1,016 American adults.
