The widow of slain conservative activist Charlie Kirk has consoled rapper Nicki Minaj after the singer used the word "murderer" while praising U.S. conservative leaders, Reuters reported, BTA reported.

Erica Kirk, whose husband was shot dead in September, has offered support to Minaj after the rapper called U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance a "murderer" while trying to hold him up as a role model. Kirk and Minaj spoke together on stage at a festival organized by “Turning Point USA“ (Turning Point USA), the conservative youth movement founded by Charlie Kirk.

“Dear young men, you have incredible role models in our handsome and elegant president, and also in our vice president, the murderer J.D. Vance“, Minaj said, then dropped the microphone, looked down, and covered her mouth with her hand.

Charlie Kirk was shot and killed during a “Turning Point USA“ event on the campus of “Utah Valley University“ in Orem while debating with students.

After mentioning the word murderer, Minaj fell silent for a few seconds, and laughter erupted from the audience. Erika Kirk quickly came to Minaj's aid.

“Trust me, there's nothing new under the sun that I haven't heard, so it's okay... I love you. "You have to laugh at this, really," Kirk told Minaj. "Say whatever you want to say, because I know your heart and I'm not going to judge you for it," she added.

Minaj thanked Kirk and continued after a short pause.

Shortly after Minaj's performance, the White House released a video from the festival in which she said, "I have the utmost respect and admiration for our president."
