The participants in the peace process in Ukraine are working on four final documents, announced US Permanent Representative to NATO Matthew Whitaker on Fox News.
According to the diplomat, a draft of a 20-point peace plan is currently on the negotiating table, as well as documents on multilateral security guarantees and special US guarantees.
The fourth document is dedicated to a plan for post-war economic recovery and development.
„All these documents are being discussed in real time. I think we now have a pretty good understanding of what Ukraine wants,“ added Whitaker.
On December 20, delegations from Ukraine, the US and European countries met in Miami. After the talks, US President's special envoy Stephen Witkoff and Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Rustem Umerov published identical statements on social media. They said that during their meetings the parties discussed the 20-point peace plan and Washington's security guarantees for Kiev.
In addition, the meeting participants devoted time to discussing the development of the "Economy and Prosperity" plan.
According to Volodymyr Zelensky, the Ukrainian and American delegations prepared draft documents for a framework for "ending" the conflict with Russia during their talks in Miami.
