Fourteen countries, including France, Britain, Canada and Japan, condemned last night the recent approval of the construction of new Jewish settlements in the West Bank, dariknews.bg reported.
They called on the Israeli government to reverse this decision and stop the expansion of the settlements, Agence France-Presse reported.
"We, the representatives of Germany, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Spain, France, Italy, Ireland, Iceland, Japan, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway and the United Kingdom, condemn the approval by the Israeli government's security cabinet of the construction of 19 new settlements in the occupied West Bank,“ said a joint statement released by the French Foreign Ministry.
"We will continue to "We express our clear opposition to any form of annexation, as well as to the development of the policy of colonization," the text adds.
