A bus crash in the eastern Mexican state of Veracruz has killed at least 10 people and injured 32, AFP reported, citing a statement from local authorities last night, BTA reported.
The accident occurred in the city of Sontecomatlan on Wednesday, as the bus was traveling from the capital Mexico City to the village of Chicontepec.
"For now, we have information about the deaths of nine adults and one child,“ the mayor of Sontecomatlan said in a statement.
The municipality published a list of the names of the 32 injured and the hospitals where they were admitted.
Road accidents involving buses and trucks are common in Mexico, AFP notes. The causes are usually excessive speed or technical failure.
