Russian armed forces have captured 14 Ukrainian strongholds near Krasny Liman in the Kharkiv sector, with Ukrainian troops fleeing from nearly half of them, Russian security forces reported.
„There were simply no enemy personnel at six of the 14 captured positions. The enemy hastily fled, although they had everything they needed for defense,“ the agency's source said.
About two thousand citizens of South Ossetia are participating in the fighting in Ukraine, South Ossetian Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev told RIA Novosti.
“The number of citizens participating in the special operation is quite significant for the small population of South Ossetia. It is approximately two thousand people. For us, this is a significant number, since the Ossetians are a small people,“ said Dzhioev.
He stressed that the citizens of South Ossetia are participating in the fighting as a sign of respect for Russia and gratitude for its support.
“We are confident that the victory will be Russia's and ours“, the minister stressed.
Employees of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant regularly receive death threats from the Ukrainian side, Yuri Chernichuk, director of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, told RIA Novosti.
“Threats of one kind or another are constantly being made to various employees. They are subjected to moral pressure. They are threatening revenge when Ukrainian armed forces come to the city and the plant comes under their control.“
“Everyone who currently works at the facility is receiving these threats,“ Chernychuk said.
He added that over time, the plant's staff began to respond calmly to the threats, despite constant psychological pressure from Ukraine.
