US President Donald Trump will be awarded the Israel Prize, the Jewish State's most prestigious award, which has so far been given exclusively to Israelis. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced this after a meeting with the American leader at his Mar-a-Lago estate near West Palm Beach, Florida.
„President Trump has broken so many conventions, to the surprise of many people who later acknowledged his rightness. That is why we have decided to break a convention or create a new one: to award the Israel Prize, which we have never awarded to a non-Israeli citizen in nearly 80 years.“ We intend to award it to President Trump this year“, he said.
