Two people were injured in a Ukrainian drone attack in the Russian port city of Tuapse and were hospitalized. Five residential buildings, a gas pipeline, a port pier and equipment at the oil refinery were damaged.
This was reported by the Krasnodar Territory Operational Group on its Telegram channel.
“The injuries of the victims are not life-threatening, and medical personnel are providing all necessary assistance“, the statement said.
The operational group specified that the windows of four residential buildings and one private house were damaged. The municipality will assist residents in the recovery.
“The fire at one of the landing sites was quickly extinguished. A fire with an area of 300 square meters at the refinery was also extinguished. 64 people and 16 units of equipment, including personnel from the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia for the Krasnodar Territory, were involved in the work,“ the department added.
The mayor of the Tuapse municipal district, Sergey Boyko, declared “danger from drones“ in the municipality at 23:43 Moscow time.
Noise from drone flights and explosions were also reported near Gelendzhik (the airport there had previously been temporarily closed) and the village of Lazarevskoye near Sochi.
Late in the evening, Moscow Region Governor Andrei Vorobyov announced that one person had been injured in a drone attack in the region.
The governor noted that the injured person was a 57-year-old man. He was taken to the trauma center of the Krasnogorsk hospital with shrapnel wounds to his back and arm. He is currently undergoing examination and initial treatment.
