The identification of approximately 40 victims of the bar fire in the Swiss resort Crans-Montana is still ongoing, according to the Swiss news agency Keystone-SDA, citing a police spokesman.
The work could “take several days“. He stressed that it was “very difficult work“, given the large number of victims. The exact number of dead had not yet been determined as of the morning of January 2.
The police are in close contact with the victims' families. They are receiving psychological support.
