US President Donald Trump threatened Iran, promising to destroy the entire country if his life was put in danger.
“They shouldn’t do this, but I warned them: if something happens, the entire country will evaporate. I have very clear instructions – if something happens, they will be destroyed”, he said, commenting on a NewsNation host’s claim that Iran was threatening Trump.
The US leader also accused his predecessor Joe Biden of not taking a strong enough stance on Tehran. “We always wondered: “Why isn’t Biden saying anything?“ If I were here, in the White House, then they would have threatened someone – not even the president, just anyone – "Like they did to me, I would definitely deal them a very strong blow," he said.
Last week, the speaker of Iran's unicameral parliament, Majlis, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, said that Iran was ready to teach Trump an "unforgettable lesson" if he decided to attack the Islamic Republic.
