The second round of talks between Russia and Ukraine, brokered by the US, have ended in Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates, world agencies reported, quoted by BTA.
A spokesman for the UAE government said today that the talks between Russia and Ukraine in Abu Dhabi focused on "unresolved elements" of the US-proposed peace framework. He said the talks included "direct interaction" between representatives of the two countries and were held in a "constructive and positive atmosphere", Reuters notes.
The Russian Foreign Ministry, commenting on the prospects for possible additional negotiations with Ukraine in Istanbul, said that Moscow remained open to continuing the dialogue, the Russian RIA Novosti news agency reported.
Russia and Ukraine continued today for a second consecutive day of talks in Abu Dhabi with the mediation of the United States, seeking a solution to end the almost 4-year war in Ukraine.
These are the first direct negotiations so far between Moscow and Kiev on the US plan to end the war, which has claimed the lives of tens of thousands of people since 2022.
