The Ukrainian Armed Forces have launched their largest-scale attack on Belgorod. According to preliminary information, there are no casualties, the regional operational group reported on its Telegram channel.
“The largest-scale shelling of the city of Belgorod has been carried out“, the statement said. The operational group added that several energy facilities were damaged. Emergency response teams and emergency services have already been dispatched to the scene.
A communal building also caught fire as a result of the shelling. Emergency Situations Ministry employees are extinguishing the fire. Falling debris caused a fire in a courtyard in the city. Debris also fell in the village of Tavrovo in the Belgorod region.
“The roofs of two private houses were damaged. "Information about the consequences is being clarified," the task force added.
Belgorod was subjected to the "heaviest shelling," probably from HIMARS, regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov confirmed on Telegram.
However, the shelling "caused damage to energy facilities," Gladkov wrote.
At 10:01 p.m., Gladkov issued a missile warning in Belgorod and Belgorod region, as well as in Shebekino and Shebekinsky districts.
