A large mobile drilling rig has collapsed while moving in northern Alaska. No serious injuries were reported, Alaska's News Source reported on Saturday.
According to the source, a fire broke out on a ConocoPhillips Alaska drilling rig, after which it tilted and fell.
“Environmental damage is minimal and there is no damage to oil infrastructure or facilities,“ said Alaska Governor Mike Dunleavy.
ConocoPhillips Alaska officials, quoted by Alaska's News Source, noted that no one on the platform was seriously injured. They also reported that emergency services were working at the scene of the incident.
