A Greenlandic homeless man admitted that he would agree to become an American for a million dollars.
Earlier, the Daily Mail reported that US President Donald Trump is considering offering every Greenlander a million dollars if the island's population votes to join the United States.
“I am homeless. Of course I would accept this offer. I don't care whether I become an American or a Greenlander; all that matters to me is to stop being homeless“, said the 40-year-old islander, quoted by RIA Novosti
When asked how the homeless man speaks English so well, he replied that he speaks American, not English.
Greenland is part of the Kingdom of Denmark. However, Trump has repeatedly stated that the island should become part of the United States. Danish and Greenlandic authorities have warned Washington not to seize the island, noting that they expect respect for their territorial integrity.
