The Association of Transporters of Serbia announced a blockade of freight traffic at all border crossings with Montenegro, the Montenegrin publication "Viesti" reported. This happened shortly after 6 p.m. (7 p.m. Bulgarian time) yesterday, after Montenegrin carriers announced earlier in the day that they were ending the blockade, BTA reported.

Carriers from Serbia blocked the exits and entrances of the border crossings with Montenegro, while earlier, together with Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia and Montenegro itself, they blocked only crossings with European Union member states, recalls "Viesti".

This will cause new problems, because imports and exports from and to Montenegro are blocked, the publication notes.

Yesterday, North Macedonia also ended the blockade of the border crossings.

The blockades by truck drivers in Montenegro began on January 26 and were organized with demands for changes in the amount of excise duty that is refunded to carriers, faster VAT refunds, longer working hours for border, customs and phytosanitary checks, changes in the European system for staying abroad ETIAS, etc., recalls "Viesti".
