Five adults and a child were injured in a shooting during a Mardi Gras parade in Clinton, Louisiana, the New York Post reports, citing local authorities.
The shooting took place on January 31 near the East Feliciana Parish Courthouse. According to the publication, six people were injured, including a child who is in critical condition.
Police have arrested a suspect in the shooting. Law enforcement is currently searching for the vehicle believed to have been involved in the shooting.
A local resident told WBRZ 2 that the Mardi Gras parade was canceled after the shooting. According to the station, all parade participants were allowed to leave the area.
