A new winter storm hit the USA just days after the country was paralyzed by record cold in a previous winter storm, world agencies reported.

Snowfall will continue today and tomorrow along the east coast, especially in North and South Carolina. And from today until Monday, two-thirds of the eastern part of the country, from North Dakota to Florida, will be frozen by arctic cold combined with strong winds.
Negative temperatures are expected even in the southern parts of the southern state of Florida - something that has not been observed since 1989.
In the northern parts of the country, temperatures this morning local time were already minus 16 degrees Celsius in Minneapolis, where in recent weeks there have been protests against the immigration policy of the Donald Trump administration.
The previous cold wave left hundreds of thousands of households without electricity. Tens of thousands of customers are still without electricity in Tennessee and Mississippi.
