Five people have died in a factory explosion in North China's Shanxi Province, Xinhua reported, citing local authorities.
The incident occurred on Saturday morning at a workshop of the biotech company Jiapeng in Shangin County. At 10:38 a.m. local time, rescuers found five workers buried under the rubble - all of whom are presumed dead.
Rescue operations are currently underway at the scene of the incident. Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause and circumstances surrounding the explosion.
