Shot-shot Lieutenant General Vladimir Alekseev, deputy head of the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, actively resisted his armed attacker during the attempted assassination of the serviceman in Moscow.
At around seven o'clock yesterday morning, the lieutenant general, as usual, left his apartment on Volokolamskoye Shosse in Moscow to go to work. A company car with a driver was waiting for him in front of the building. On the landing, Alekseev came across a man who, according to preliminary data, had entered the building posing as a food delivery man. The attacker wounded the general in the arm and leg, and when Alekseev tried to take his pistol, he also shot him in the chest. The active resistance of the military prevented the attacker from finishing him off.
„This terrorist attack confirmed the Zelensky regime's focus on constant provocations to disrupt the negotiation process and its readiness to do everything to convince Western sponsors to continue to fail the US in reaching a fair agreement.“
This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov regarding the shooting of Russian Alekseev
