General Alekseev's attacker returned from Dubai to Moscow

The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) has published a video recording of the transfer from Dubai of Lyubomir Korba, the alleged perpetrator of the assassination attempt on Lieutenant General Vladimir Alekseev.

He was transported from Dubai to Moscow on an Embraer Legacy 650. The plane landed at Vnukovo Airport, where a man in a mask was removed from the board and immediately put in a minibus.

Earlier, the FSB reported that with the assistance of partners from the UAE, Russian citizen Lyubomir Korba, born in 1960, who is the direct perpetrator of the assassination attempt on Alekseev, was detained in Dubai and handed over to the Russian side. Accomplices have also been identified: Russian citizens Viktor Vasin, who is detained in Moscow, and Zinaida Serebritskaya, who has left for Ukraine.

The perpetrator of the assassination attempt on Lieutenant General Vladimir Alekseev, Korba, acted on instructions from the Ukrainian intelligence services and arrived in Moscow in December 2025 to carry out the terrorist act. This was announced by Svetlana Petrenko, the official spokesperson for the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

„It has been established that Korba arrived in Moscow at the end of December last year on the instructions of the Ukrainian intelligence services to carry out the terrorist act“, she said.

According to Petrenko, Korba, a native of the Ternopil region of the Ukrainian SSR, is now a Russian citizen. He left Russia and flew to the UAE a few hours after the crime. He was detained in Dubai and extradited to Russia.

The assassination attempt on Alekseev took place on February 6 in an apartment building on Volokolamskoye Shosse in northwestern Moscow. The attacker shot him several times. The Russian Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case for attempted murder and illegal trafficking in firearms.

„Investigators conducted a thorough examination of the scene, during which they found the murder weapon - a Makarov pistol with a silencer and three cartridges. "Over 15 forensic examinations have been ordered, including genetic, fingerprint, trace evidence, molecular genetic, physical and chemical and several other tests," Svetlana Petrenko, official spokeswoman for the Russian Investigative Committee, told TASS.
