However, according to information from Bild, a rumor is gaining momentum in some circles of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) that is causing great interest: the possibility that she could run for the post of federal president, Focus writes.
As reported by the German media, this scenario could create political problems in the CDU, because Angela Merkel remains quite popular among the Greens.
