A drone attack was repelled in the Volgograd region, which damaged residential buildings and industrial infrastructure, regional governor Andrey Bocharov announced.
His words were quoted by the press service of the regional administration on Telegram.
Private homes in Volgograd and its surroundings were damaged. “The house of a large family in the village of Yami in the Sredneakhtubinsky district suffered significant damage, and a 12-year-old boy was hospitalized. An 18-year-old teenager and a woman were also hospitalized in the Krasnoarmeysky district. All three victims are out of danger,” Bocharov said.
In the city, drones crashed near residential buildings in three places.
“Cars were damaged, apartment windows were broken. Emergency services and municipalities were ordered to assess the damage, eliminate the consequences and provide assistance to the victims, as well as prepare temporary accommodation centers,“ Bocharov added.
In addition, debris from drones fell on the territory of several industrial enterprises in the city and the region, the governor reported.
Flight restrictions have been in effect at Volgograd Airport since the evening of February 12.
