Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, speaking at the Munich Security Conference, said he hopes the war with Russia will end in 2026, according to the Ukrainian publication „Politika strani“.
After today's meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, he plans to discuss peace talks with US special envoy Stephen Witkoff and US President Donald Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner.
Zelensky also said that Ukraine has received an offer of 15-year security guarantees from the US, but Kiev would like to receive guarantees for at least 30 years.
Two days earlier, the Ukrainian leader said that the conflict would be resolved by June if the US puts pressure on Russia.
The third round of talks between Russia, Ukraine and the United States is scheduled to be held in Geneva on February 17-18. Zelensky announced that territorial issues will be discussed at these talks.
