Slovak President Peter Pellegrini defined the country's cooperation with the United States as a strategic partnership, which gives significant results in the fields of defense, security and energy. The head of state made this statement after a meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Bratislava.
“The partnership between Slovakia and the United States is strategic; it gives results in the fields of defense, security and energy“, Pellegrini was quoted as saying by the ČTK news agency.
Rubio arrived in Bratislava from Munich after participating in a security conference. He is currently holding talks with Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, after which, according to local media, a press conference will be held. On February 16, the Secretary of State will travel to Hungary.
