Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said today that the total amount provided since the beginning of this year under NATO's Priority Ukraine Requirements List (PURL) initiative has already reached $584 million, Ukrinform reported, quoted by BTA.

„I am grateful to everyone who contributes to PURL. In 2026, we already have financial contributions from the United Kingdom, Norway, the Netherlands, Sweden, Iceland and Latvia, totaling $584 million,” Zelensky wrote on the “Ex” platform.

According to him, PURL will need $15 billion in total in 2026. He pointed out that in this way they will help deprive Russia of its tool of air terror. “And we encourage everyone who is interested in security to join and increase their contributions to PURL,” the president said.

The head of state noted that Russia continues its attempts to destroy Ukraine’s critical infrastructure, and PURL remains a reliable mechanism for purchasing American anti-aircraft missiles, which are most effective against Russian ballistic missiles. This way, Ukraine can also protect its power grid during the harsh winter.

“Thank you to every country that helps protect lives. We count on the program to continue to function effectively – it really helps“, Zelensky stressed.

PURL is a joint US-NATO program launched in 2025 to accelerate the delivery of critical US-made weapons and equipment to Ukraine, with partner countries financing purchases based on Ukraine's priority list of needs and coordinating their contributions through a special NATO fund. This allows for the rapid acquisition of important systems, such as Patriot and HIMARS missiles, directly from US warehouses, strengthening Ukraine's defenses.
