Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic assured him that the trilateral military cooperation between Croatia, Albania and Kosovo is not directed against Serbia, the HINA agency reported, quoted by BTA.

Vucic announced this to Belgrade media during the international artificial intelligence summit in Delhi. He specified that he had a “long conversation“ with Plenkovic, in which the two discussed the trilateral cooperation for the first time, which he previously defined as a “military alliance“.

At the Munich Security Conference, Vucic defined such an alliance as the “biggest threat“ to Serbia. In response, Croatian Defense Minister Ivan Anušić stressed that the trilateral initiative, agreed in 2025, is not directed against anyone.

In 2025, Croatia, Albania and Kosovo signed a declaration on cooperation in the field of defense and security, with the aim of strengthening stability in Southeast Europe, supporting Euro-Atlantic integration and deepening the partnership between the three countries, the Croatian Agency recalls.

“In one sentence, I can say that Prime Minister Plenković said that this is not directed against Serbia“, Vučić said in Delhi. He added that further comments would go beyond the framework of politeness, good faith and rational dialogue.
