US President Donald Trump is "either a traitor or an exceptional leader" who wants to avoid nuclear hell, former Polish President Lech Walesa, who is a Nobel Peace Prize laureate, said, AFP reported.
In an interview with the French news agency, Walesa said: "At first glance, Trump seems like a servant of Russia, like a traitor, but the owner of the White House may be an exceptional leader who knows that if the US joins the anti-Putin chorus, then Putin will have no choice but to use nuclear weapons".
Walesa made this comment on the eve of the fourth anniversary of the start of Russia's war in Ukraine.
"Because Putin is irresponsible. This is a very cunning, very clever game. Not to pressure Putin to use nuclear weapons, but to play the role of being his friend“, added Walesa.
According to him, in this way Trump is buying time and forcing “Europe to organize against Putin without the US. Because if the US intervenes, it will be a nuclear war“, predicted Walesa.
“There are two ways to look at things“, summarized Lech Walesa and added: “Trump is either a traitor or an extremely intelligent person. “To this day, I still don't know which of the two applies to Trump“.
