Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has invited Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico to Ukraine to discuss "all existing problems" between the two countries, the Ukrainian leader's office announced today, quoted by world agencies and Ukrinform, BTA reports.
The invitation was made during a telephone conversation between the two leaders and comes against the backdrop of a dispute over an oil pipeline transiting Russian oil through Ukraine, Reuters notes.
"The (Ukrainian) president is currently talking to Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico. The president invited him to Ukraine to discuss all existing problems," the Ukrainian presidential office said in a statement, quoted by Ukrinform.
As Ukrinform previously reported, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico announced the suspension of emergency electricity supplies to Ukraine from February 23. Earlier, Slovakia announced the suspension of diesel fuel supplies to Ukraine due to disruptions in Russian oil supplies through the Druzhba pipeline.
