The official spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova told the TASS agency that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, despite tactical considerations, admitted that he would “be happy“ accept nuclear weapons from France or Great Britain.

“Anyone else in his place would have remained silent for tactical reasons. But Zelensky could not stand it and admitted what London and Paris were stubbornly silent about“, said Maria Zakharova.

On February 24, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service disseminated information about the intentions of Great Britain and France to provide Ukraine with nuclear weapons. According to the department, Western countries are seeking to create the appearance of Kiev developing a nuclear arsenal independently.

Later, the official representative of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer denied this information. He stressed Britain's commitment to efforts to achieve a just and sustainable peace in Ukraine.
