Israel will intensify its strikes on the Iranian capital Tehran, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced this evening, quoted by Agence France-Presse, BTA reports.

"Our forces are currently striking the heart of Tehran with increasing intensity, which will intensify even more in the coming days", Netanyahu said in a video address on the second day of the operation. He announced that he had "given instructions to continue the campaign", for which, according to him, Israel had mobilized "the full power of its armed forces, as never before, to guarantee its existence and its future".

A short while earlier, new explosions had been heard in Tehran, and then it was reported that the headquarters of Iran's national radio and television had been hit.

Netanyahu admitted that Israel was experiencing "painful days" after the deadly Iranian strikes on its territory.

"These are painful days. "Yesterday here in Tel Aviv and now in Bet Shemesh, we lost people dear to us," the Israeli prime minister said in a video recorded at the Defense Ministry in Tel Aviv.

Nine people were killed in central Israel today when a building in the town of Bet Shemesh collapsed after a direct hit by an Iranian missile. An Iranian strike in Tel Aviv yesterday killed a Filipino nurse, AFP reported.

Eleven people remain missing after the attack in Bet Shemesh, Israeli police said tonight. They added that more than 45 people were injured.
