Hundreds of Israeli jets are simultaneously bombing Lebanon and Iran, Israeli army spokesman Brigadier General Effie Defrin said today, quoted by Agence France-Presse, BTA reported.
The spokesman warned Lebanese Shiite movement "Hezbollah" that it will pay a high price for its attacks on Israel.
"Hezbollah" opened fire tonight. They knew very well what they were doing. We warned them and they will pay a high price," Defrin said.
"At this moment, hundreds of Israeli aircraft are simultaneously striking Lebanon and Iran," the spokesman also said, noting that Israel is "fighting simultaneously on several fronts - in Iran, in Lebanon and elsewhere.".
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense announced that several American warplanes crashed in Kuwait earlier today, specifying that their crews survived, the Kuwaiti news agency KUNA reported.
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense spokesman, Colonel Saud al-Atwan, said in a statement that the competent authorities had immediately taken search and rescue actions. The crews were evacuated from the crash sites and taken to hospital for assessment and medical treatment, the spokesman said, adding that the pilots were in stable condition.
Al Atwan added that in close coordination with US forces, actions were taken to clarify the circumstances surrounding the incident and implement joint technical procedures.
The spokesman also said that the competent authorities were continuing their investigation to determine the causes of the incident and called on the public and the media to seek information from official sources.
