The targets of the attacks in Iran were identified as government military facilities, and in Lebanon - as targets of the Shiite organization Hezbollah.
At the same time, the US Embassy in Qatar urged all Americans in the country to seek safe haven and remain there until further notice, according to a statement on the embassy's website.
„The US Embassy in Qatar continues to enforce stay-at-home orders for all personnel. "We encourage all Americans in Qatar to do the same until further notice," the statement said.
The embassy also said it would not provide services to U.S. citizens for the entire week. In addition, the embassy is not evacuating or providing direct assistance to U.S. citizens leaving Qatar.
