Bahrain's Air Defense Forces have intercepted and destroyed 73 missiles and 91 drones launched by Iran since the start of the escalation, the Bahraini Armed Forces announced.
„Air defense systems have destroyed 73 missiles and 91 drones launched during the brutal Iranian terrorist attack on the Kingdom of Bahrain. "We have succeeded in thwarting this indiscriminate attack," the Bahrain News Agency (BNA) said in a statement.
The US military operation against Iran will be carried out in several phases, NBC News reported, citing a source.
Washington has so far carried out two phases of the operation: the first involves the use of Tomahawk missiles and precision-guided munitions to destroy the Islamic Republic's air defenses and weaken its offensive potential. In the second phase, the US military has deployed B-1 and B-2 strategic bombers and heavy bombs to destroy fortified targets in Iran, including missile silos and ballistic missile sites.
The military did not disclose how many phases the operation will last. According to the TV channel, the US has not yet attacked Iranian nuclear facilities, but they could become targets in later stages of the operation.
